Gynecomasty refers to the increase of volume of the breasts in some men, either because the mammary glands excessively increase in size or because of an excessive deposit of fat locally. In men affected by gynecomasty, the excessive volume of the breasts gives a very embarrassing feminine aspect to the chest.
The surgical gynecomasty operation differs whether the increase in the volume of the breasts is due only to excessive adipose tissue or whether it is associated with an increase in the size of the gland. In the first instance, the surplus adipose tissue is removed through liposuction. This technique is successful and gives very pleasant results, with a fast post-operational recovery.
