\r\nCellulite is one of the major aesthetic concerns affecting millions of women worldwide. It involves mild chronic inflammation, microcirculatory stasis, and fibrous bands that cause skin retractions and irregularities, particularly in the buttocks and thighs, commonly known as the \u201corange peel\u201d effect. <\/p>\r\n
The causes of this condition are multifactorial: genetic predisposition, sedentary lifestyle, poor diet, excessive alcohol and coffee consumption, and many other factors still unknown. <\/p>\r\n
Over the years, numerous techniques have been used to address this aesthetic issue, but with limited success. <\/p>\r\n
Now, a new technique for eliminating cellulite has finally arrived in Italy: it\u2019s called Cellfina<\/strong>. It uses a device approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the US agency responsible for food, drugs, and medical devices. <\/p>\r\n How does the Cellfina treatment work?<\/strong> <\/p>\r\n Cellfina targets the root causes of what is commonly called the \u201cmattress effect\u201d\u2014 the dimpling caused by connective fibres pulling down on the skin of the thighs and buttocks. <\/p>\r\n The FDA certifies that the system can deliver long-lasting results. With this device, plastic surgeons can address the structural cause of cellulite. <\/p>\r\n The Cellfina procedure is performed in an outpatient setting under local anaesthesia, and patients can return to their daily activities within 24 hours. <\/p>\r\n The device is applied to the treatment area: through gentle suction, it lifts the tissue by a few millimetres.
