However, for both men and women, the <strong>earlobe<\/strong> is not just a place for adornments: in some cultures it is also a symbol of prosperity. Archaeological findings of mummies, ancient drawings and prehistoric paintings show that the <strong>size of the ear<\/strong> was used as a sign of maturity and, especially in men, as a mark of social status. In our culture, the <strong>earlobe<\/strong> is considered a <strong>symbol of youth<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>How does earlobe aging occur?<\/strong><br>\r\nEarlobe aging manifests through <strong>elongation, wrinkling and deflation<\/strong>, i.e. loss of volume.  \r\nAesthetic doctors and plastic surgeons, therefore, must address <strong>earlobe aging<\/strong> comprehensively: they aim to <strong>restore volume and shape<\/strong>, as well as <strong>eliminate wrinkles<\/strong> and <strong>improve aged skin<\/strong> damaged by time and sun exposure, which often causes spots in this area.<\/p>\r\n<p>There are two ways to restore volume to a deflated earlobe:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li><strong>First method<\/strong> \u2013 the simpler one is to <strong>use a hyaluronic acid-based filler<\/strong>. The patient is treated in-office with microinjections directly into the earlobe. This treatment lasts about 10 minutes and allows an immediate return to daily activities.<\/li>\r\n  <li><strong>Second method<\/strong> \u2013 using the <strong>lipofilling technique<\/strong>, i.e. transferring small amounts of autologous fat from a donor area to the earlobe. This technique is more complex than the first but long-lasting and permanent.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Skin rejuvenation and removal of age spots from the earlobe can also be performed with two methods: <strong>chemical peels<\/strong> or <strong>laser<\/strong>.
