The numbers of beauty in Italy and worldwide

While waiting for the most up-to-date data for 2017, the new statistics collected in recent months seem to confirm the forecasts highlighted by ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), the international society of aesthetic plastic surgery that brings together many plastic surgeons from all over the world.

According to its data, Italy is consistently among the top 10 countries in the world for the number of aesthetic plastic surgery procedures: the country ranked ninth, preceded respectively by the United States, Brazil, Mexico, South Korea, India, Germany, and France.

Moreover, according to the latest ISAPS data, Italy ranks seventh in the world for non-surgical aesthetic procedures, again preceded by the United States, India, Brazil, Mexico, and South Korea.

As for the most requested aesthetic plastic surgery procedures worldwide, breast augmentation remains in first place, showing a progressive double-digit annual growth rate.

In second place is liposuction (the procedure of removing body fat), followed by blepharoplasty (the treatment to rejuvenate the eyes), and finally rhinoplasty and abdominoplasty.

ISAPS reports that aesthetic plastic surgery procedures increased by 8% worldwide in just one year, from 2015 to 2016.

This success has been a constant reality for many years and stems from the many innovations in surgical procedures and technologies, which have become increasingly effective and reliable with extremely high levels of safety.
