Ear lobe and the lipofilling technique

How does earlobe aging happen?
The aging of the ear lobe occurs due to elongation, roughness and deflation, that is, reduction in volume.
The aesthetic doctor and plastic surgeon, therefore, when they have to face the aging of the earlobe they must do it at 360 degrees, considering that they must act trying to restore volume and shape , as well as being able to eliminate wrinkles and improving aged skin from the passing years and from the sun’s rays which, usually, in this area have determined the presence of numerous spots.

To restore volume to the lobe of the ear that has almost been emptied, you can act in two ways: the first method, simpler, is to use a filler based on hyaluronic acid . In this case, the patient is treated directly in the office with micro-injections of hyaluronic acid directly into the earlobe. This treatment lasts for 10 minutes and the patient immediately returns to her normal work activities.

The second method is to use the lipofilling technique, i.e. the transfer of small quantities of autologous fat from a donor area to the earlobe. This technique is a little more complex than the previous one but is durable and permanent for life. Skin rejuvenation and the removal of earlobe spots is also performed with two different methods: chemical peels or laser can be used. These techniques are performed simultaneously with the increase in volume of the lobe that has emptied or after about a couple of weeks from the first treatment. The results obtained are very good and satisfactory.
