12th AICPE National Congress in Rimini: record attendance and high-value scientific content

The 12th National Congress of AICPE – the Italian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery – has just concluded in Rimini, held from June 6 to 8, 2025.
The event reaffirmed itself as an essential point of reference for aesthetic surgery in Italy, welcoming 474 participants, over 120 scientific presentations and 27 educational sessions across three days. The programme explored clinical experience, scientific updates and reflections on the evolution of the discipline, with a strong focus on increasingly sophisticated and minimally invasive approaches.
The high scientific level of the Congress was recognised internationally as well, with the participation of specialists from 22 countries—further proof of AICPE’s growing importance in the global landscape of aesthetic surgery.
Key topics included facial aesthetic surgery, body contouring, breast surgery, rhinoplasty and a broad focus on aesthetic medicine, reflecting its increasing integration with surgical practice. Of particular interest was the introduction— for the first time—of the theme of artificial intelligence applied to medical practice, opening new avenues for future development.
The Congress featured numerous distinguished speakers from Italy and abroad, offering highly practical content immediately applicable to the daily clinical work of professionals.
As AICPE President for the 2024–2026 term, Prof. Roberto Bracaglia expressed deep gratitude for the exceptional participation and highlighted with pride the continued growth of the Association, today the largest scientific community in Italy dedicated exclusively to aesthetic surgery, and one of the most authoritative in Europe.
